message from the president

In 1940, Westway Trading Corporation (then named Industrial Molasses Company) commenced business as a molasses supplier in the Northeastern United States. More than half a century of successful operation, including much diversification and expansion, has produced the flourishing international corporation which is the Westway of today. Throughout the company's history, Westway has demonstrated unequaled commitment to its customers and suppliers through the timely execution of contracts and the delivery of first-rate products and services.

The scope of the company has broadened considerably over the years. Westway continues to sell molasses, a by-product of sugar refining, for use in the production of fermentation products such as bakers yeast, citric acid, and alcohol. Westway is also the primary molasses supplier to the U.S. animal feed trade and distributes molasses throughout Canada and Mexico. Westway is continuing its expansion into value added products lines such as liquid supplements, dried molasses, molasses blocks, and by-product conversion.

Finally, Westway continues to expand its capital base with new tanks and terminals. Our aim is to be the leader of those who provide environmentally sound liquid bulk storage services.
